Congratulations to Brittney Bushman for being selected as our “Student of the Quarter”.
Brittney will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Colorado State University (CSU). Go Rams! She began her college career at the University of Northern Colorado, but quickly transferred to CSU to pursue Interior Design. Brittney showed her enthusiasm for both Universities by cheering them on as a member of the cheerleading team. After being accepted into the Interior Design program, Brittney traded in her pom-poms for an ASID membership and was eager to become involved in her new major.
Throughout the past four years she has served her fellow classmates as a Sophomore Representative and President-Elect. She continues to develop her leadership skills as the President of ASID’s Student Chapter at CSU.
Stephanie Clemons, the Faculty Advisor to ASID ‘s CSU Student Chapter states “Brittney Bushman is an exceptional design student and leader. She is well deserving of this recognition! The Interior Design Faculty at CSU are very proud of her and her accomplishments”.
Brittney has also been recognized by the National ASID organization for participating in an effective (and entertaining) recruitment video created by fellow student, Sarah Ricci, on Prezi, a web-based presentation application and storytelling tool that uses a single canvas instead of traditional slides.
Brittney is one of six children and loves being a Colorado-native. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being an active member of her church, spending time outdoors, going sky-diving, doing gymnastics and yoga, but most all she enjoys laughing and is told her giggle can be quite contagious. Brittney is an advocate of adventures and is open to new opportunities and experiences that will come after graduation. Ultimately, she would like to use her degree to not only enhance the built environment; but rather, enhance the built environment for those in need.
