Colorado Connection Media Kit
ASID Colorado Connection magazine welcomes member article contributions. We are looking for content that supports our mission which is to provide professional education and promote knowledge sharing, advocacy of interior designers’ right‐to‐practice, and the expansion of interior design markets.
Criteria for Article Consideration:
- Topic must be relevant to current design issues, trends, products, styles, techniques, and directly correlate to the Colorado chapter membership as well as support our chapter mission
- Focus on your expertise and please do feel free to mention your company/business however it shall not be the focus as the article is not intended to be free advertising
- Up to three photos/images per article are welcome (image requirements below)
Article Technical Requirements:
- Please submit articles as a word document with a universal font such as Arial or Times New Roman
- Author and Contributors, including contact information your membership level and membership number, must be clearly indicated with the article on the word document (note: membership numbers will not be published)
- Article length options include the following:
- ¼Page – 300 Words
- ½Page – 600 Words
- Full Page – 1200 Words
Note: If your article exceeds 1200 words please notify the editor (contact information below) as in some cases there is space for a longer article dependant upon the content for upcoming issues.
Image Size Requirements:
- Pictures need to be 300dpi and can be saved as .jpg, .tiff, or .eps.
- If exporting from a digital camera, please export as high res or the best quality
- General picture size for a one column picture, when published, is 3.5” wide.
- If professional images are submitted you must provide indication that you have the right to print the images with your article submission
Additional Notes:
- The Editor and Communications Director reserve the right to edit articles when necessary.
- Articles will not be guaranteed to appear in a specific issue and you will be notified of which issue it will appear in therefore it is best to keep content somewhat timeless.
- In the event that you do need to reference an exact date or event that is specific to the topic of the article, please
- make sure it is after the next publishing deadline and please bring attention to the timeliness of the article when submitted.
